This maybe considered high end skiing in Taichi Skiing but is considered intermediate by most

taichiskiing 寫:"speed is only a by-product generated by clean elegant skiing," if you know how to read "line,"

If you show up, I will.
How? "to ski fast" and "in control" don't really go hand-in-hand.
If you were in my shoes, you might have died. And that was my skiing environment, and I might have died in that accident if I have not evaded the frontal impact to an old-grows tree. My mistake/careless, that's why I've warned you guys about no kidding around in high level skiing.
Yup, that's your small world alright, heard about the technique of "ski the slow line fast"? that's the fundation of the modern day carving technique.
Save your gapper's challenge, do you want to count it? I didn't.

Now, can you do it?

The problem with that argument is that you have to ski a curvier line—longer line—to go fast/carving, which reduces the "downward" speed; nevertheless, it serves the purpose of my argument, racing carving is line-skiing.pku 寫:Jump down the cliff is not skiing but they still need to ski down after they jumped down
Ski the slow line fast is aleays metioned in Alpine racing, they are saying people trying to ski the fastest line may result a lot of skiding that will increase the overall time. If people can ski a slower line to get more carving, the the turns are more efficient and the result is faster.
That's your little knowledge's observation. Given your "Goat Gully" performance, whether or not you can come down in ten minutes, including falling, tumbling, getting up, taking breaks, and etc., remains in question. The line you choose is a very slow line (tranversing ) and your turns skid a lot so it means you ski very slow that's why it takes you 7 minutes to ski down that run.
YouTube - Taichi Skiing/Flatboarding: mogulExpert skier keep making efficient turns with no stopping and no hesitation so they ski fast.
YouTube - down Goat's Gully 2010Intermediate skier gain speed and need to brake and stop so they ski slow.
Your nonsense. Even with poles, your bump skiing is not any straighter than mine.Since you can't ski fast and boost yourself expert skier, your conclusion is expert skier ski slow.
That means when I show up, you will have different criteria, if you ski slower than me on the steep and bumpy runs, then the slower one win.
If you ski faster than me on the easy groom, then the faster win.

Way more than 50.
See how you ski the steep and ski the flat. Totally different. Big tranvers on the steep and much smoother turns on the flat.
I still don't need to make big tranverse on the steep, just take a bit more time to turn and I can still make good turns on the steep when snow condition is good.

Sure, you use high end traverse, high end stem christie when the condition becomes difficult for you. Oh, wait! Isn't that what the intermediates do?taichiskiing 寫:Yup, only an intermediate thinks this way, as that's the wedge is the only thing he knows and sees.

For someone likes to show off so much and skiing as much as you have, your videos show not much improvement over the years. Are you at the plateau, or are you stuck in the intermediate rut? You really need to work on the fundamentals so your techniques don't break down on a somewhat steep slope

Yes, you should suggest taichiskiing and Norman to do what I did. It is their right. However, whether they want to execute their right is their own decision, and they may prefer not to do it. Do you still have problem with my earlier request to you, CrazyBoy? If so, please say it.CrazyBoy

See how much you need to tranverse at the beginning. tranversing is not straight + you don't know how to use poles to ski
You can only ski more striaght when the slope becomes gentle + snow is soft.

Maybe you should educate CrazyBoy since he likes to pick on people with wedge.taichiskiing 寫:Yup, only an intermediate thinks this way, as that's the wedge is the only thing he knows and sees.

pku, of course you aren't skiing straighter than taichiskiing. You are making round turns and taichiskiing is making super wide Z turns. Compare S to Z, do you see which has more straight line.

I called pku high level instructor. I may have said he is level 3. Both are out of the respect of the skiing he showed in the videos. Level does not really represent the skiing level but sometimes we mix them.
I have shown some 半制動 pictures. It is related to TCS this time. Other times have to do with norman. I am not nitpicking the their skiing. This is the way they turn on somewhat difficult terrain, all the turns are done this way. They also like to put down others and claim they are better than others. The problem is that their videos do not back up their claims but they continue to tell others how great they are and how little we know.

How about let's close this thread because the event will never happen?!
The obvious winner is PKU, but there is nothing wrong with Taichiskiing. We cannot blame someone who enjoys or feels good about him/herself. If you tell a frog that he is ugly, he won't agree. He would tell you that a she-frog told him that he was very handsome. It's just about different standards.
Let's open another thread to discuss what a *good skiing* is.

Sure, you use high end traverse, high end stem christie when the condition becomes difficult for you. Oh, wait! Isn't that what the intermediates do?
