Brian, Lysander, Simon and Beg all went to enjoy the powder ( 14" ) on Cypress ( the local hill in Vancouver ) now.

Dear friends - I want to share a great thing with you guys. Today (02/28/2012) at a local ski resort here (Timberline Resort), I successfuly passed the skiing part. That was my 3rd attempt. I received approvals from all three examiners. So now ... my journey to L2 certification has passed thru a big progress ... last year's written exam (passed) and the first attempt of the skiing part (failed), my second attempt in January (failed again), and finally this time I made it. After so much hardwork and effort, with so many people's help (trainers and friends), a significant milestone has been reached. That was the toughest part of getting the L2 certification. The remaining one is the teaching part. I think that I will take a break now for this season. My assignment to myself for this summer is reading books (teaching books) to prepare for next season's teaching exam. Thanks to all your supports - especially to Taichiskiing and pku's feedback and suggestions.

Congrats, and thanks for all your hardwork and effort to better yourself and the efforts trying to improve Chinese skiers' standards/水準.

Thank you taichiskiing. I still remember that I owe you a DVD. I am waiting for my friend Jack to send me the videos from his camera. He is going to ski Whitefish (Montana) next week. I think that we won't be able to receive his DVD before he comes back.

Don't worry about it, and I'm glad that Jack is well and kicking; but nevertheless, why don't you post some clips on the net, so the board can also enjoy some of your trip? And did that video cutting software work?

I just came back from a weekend trip from Seven Springs (we had a big heavy snow there this weekend). I really want to learn about video cutting/editing, but I really don't have time before tax day. After the season ends here, I'll need to busy on preparing my tax return. Gosh, I wish I had 48 hours a day.

Oops, forgot that you guys have to work and other mundane thingy, sorry. Cutting is easy, editing may require a little bit work and the knowledge of file formats, audio and video codec, etc., but should be fun. Yup, we can talk about it later.
