You are right, skiing powder need a closer stance to make 2 foot become one. 雙腳都打開了, is not not good for powder.
That's why I said Taichiski's stance is not close and the movement of his feet is not quite working together. I think you just can't understand what I said.
See if you can come skiing on Whistler and have fun together. ( just afraid you need to wait for us too long every single run )
Thank you for the encouragement. I realize that injuries take a long time to heal when I get older during the past few years. That is part of my motivation. To help heal old injuries and prevent future injuries. There is no time to think when skiing in many situation. I want to improve my reflex and I know my weakness so I started the balance exercise. In reality, I am just an intermediate and trying to improve quick.

Yes, there are three inherited problems using skis for powder skiing: crossed tips, forked skis, and/or uneven footing. So, to ski the two skis as "one" makes powder skiing much easier and more enjoyable. However, two skis are two skis (and inside ski and outside ski are behaved differently too), how can we make them to be "one"? Pressure/氣! Feel the two skis as one "pressure," we have only "one platform" to maneuver. Given the Flatboarding theory, the "platform" would go straight if the pressure on the two skis are equal, and "turn" to the heavy ski side, and "tip lead" is one way to vary and to balance the pressure between the two skis. Tip lead, serves the same function as slipping the inside ski to initiate the turn, makes smooth transition. Here's another look of skiing the natural pipe, the tip lead is too obvious,

I strongly agree physical strenth is very impotatant. It can improve reflex and can prevent injury.
For the days you ski, you should pass the intermediate level, you are just too humble.
Anyway, in case you come to ski Whistler in the near future, let's ski few runs together
