pku 寫:Skiing is s sport about speed. Skiing less time means fast. I don.t have video more than 5 mins. That means I ski much faster than you.
No, that’s only your small domain, so is your knowledge, observation. At higher level skiing, good skiing is not about “speed” but “balance.” Speed, to be able to ski fast, is only a by-product of a good balance.
And no, “ski less time” means you don’t have the energy to finish what you set out to do; you have to stop, because that you either physical weak, or waste too much energy in your maneuvers—拙力太多—cannot continue, not because you ski fast.
The video you show below is a very short run. snow condiyion is so nice but your wife ski more than 10 mins. that's very slow. I can finish it within 7 mins for sure
Ellie’s is one of Heavenly longest black “trail,” given the videos you showed, you probably need to take longer and more breaks than her, no, I don’t think you can ski that trail in seven minutes. And upper sky expressline is even tougher, as it is steep, narrow, rocky and trees, you may not be able to ski that “comfortably,” speed won’t help you there.

I kind of agree fast is the result of good balance
If you cannot ski fast. Does it mean that your balance is not good enough, or even bad
Good skiing is subjective. You call your skiing good but for me is bad. Not much point to argue
Speed is objective. Whoever take less time to ski a distance, India faster
Your wife always need to stop. As a skier skiing there almost everyday for so many years, one should know the terrain really well. If one still need to stop that long, for sure there is something wrong of her skiing
You said I need to ski that Black run using more time than your wife. Once I ski there with much less time, that means your knowledge about skiing is totally wrong because you don't know how good my balance is, how fast I can ski. Do you agree?

No, I thought once you admit you’re wrong you may learn something, apparaently, you may not. You are still “倒果為因”; if the balance is “good enough,” it must be fast.

You got that right. I too see you skiing, machenical, “ugly and slow.”
Speed is objective. Whoever take less time to ski a distance, India faster
That remains your narrow understanding of [skiing] speed, you are talking about an “average” speed, nevertheless, do you know how fast you ski at the any given time? Without a speedometer, how do you know you ski faster or slow, especially in or near whiteout conditions?
Fast or slow to us “free skiers” only meaningful is to compare with its surrounding.
Your wife always need to stop. As a skier skiing there almost everyday for so many years, one should know the terrain really well. If one still need to stop that long, for sure there is something wrong of her skiing
Not really, she is an amateur recreational skier; all she has to do to ski is to “entertaining herself” to her delight, she doesn’t have to ski the way you described, and your self-proclaimed macho image doesn’t fit her, and she skied beautifully,

That is a BIG “once,” yup, if you can keep up with us, I’ll agree that you can ski.

If you admit your skiing is bad 30-40 years ago and start to learn the proper way, you should be a very owesome skier. Now you are a joke everywhere
If balance is good enough, it must be fast but how come you ski so slow.
snowbender 寫:You got that right. I too see you skiing, machenical, “ugly and slow.”
Even mecjenical, there is nothing wrong. Skiing like you is really a joke. You turns your wife a joke.

Then why you said I cannot catch up with you. Without competing head to head, how can you know who is faster. The logic you use never apply on others like it apply on you.

Fast only apply on you, not others. See how you ski, always traverse, always slow down to check lines. How can that be fast.

Lets bet $500.00 and see who is faster on Gunbarrel and another $500.00 on Upper SKi Expressline to Ellie's with your wife head to head.
Do you dare?
snowbender 寫:When do you think that would happen?
For sure it'll happen if you show up when I am there. Just you don't have the guts. When I am there, you'll make excuse that you don't accept gapper challenge.

No. I don’t think that you even see the clip, there is no traverse,

That is a thousand-dollar“if,” when you show up we can talk about it, you have already made the excuse not to show up once, yup, if there is a joke, you are the joke.
