Though most of people watch a martial art movie is to watch the “actions”or the technical fighting; nevertheless, here's what I learnt from martial arts.
“Your hot-headed men made me kill against my will;
the men lying here were good swordsmen, now they're died like dogs;
how will you atone for it, you fool?
The sword is the soul.
Study the soul is to know the sword.
Evil mind, evil sword.”
--@2:25~2:50--
What study the sword has anything to do with alpine skiing? They do, they both are martial arts, and they both use “edge.”
To be continued.

Copy and paste, that's all a drug addict can do。you already prove you don't know martial arts, you don't know skiing. All you know is bullshit.

The ski guy is a man named Ichin Shen. He has never had a formal teacher in ANY martial art where he got beyond the basic lvel of a beginner. :
He writes a lot of articles and posts on the boards on Taijiquan but his words are very philosophical and 99% BS showing a complete lack of Taijiquan practice or understanding.
: His Shen Style Taijiquan is based upon the 88 posture Taijiquan created in the PRC. For those of you unfamiliar with 88 posture Taijiquan, it was created after 48 posture Taijiquan and is 95% the same as traditional Yang Chengfu's routine. the man who is credited with its creation was mainly looking for a name and was a really high level Taijiquan player as was the case with the creators of 24, 48, and 42 Taijiquan.
: Many teachers in the PRC refuse to teach 88 posture because of its obvious ripoff of traditional Yang style.
: So, Mr. Shen is a person of limited training who bases his style on probably the worst Taijiquan routine to be created since 1950. With this in mind, how good could he be? Not very. And he LOVES to get into arguments with people. I have yet to see a post where his arrogance did not end up in name calling. So, it is best to just ignore him and perhaps he will go away. He is, after all, really only interested in making a name for himself and making money through Taijiquan. In themselves, there is nothing wrong with that, but he has yet to learn well, humble himself to a teacher in exchange for training....so he has neither the knowledge, temperment, nor background to be of any concern to anyone.

Just swinging a Japanese sword doesn't mean you know anything about the soul of martial arts. You are not qualify for this topic unless you can do as little as 1% of the video. You have no hope for that if you don't get rid of weed.
By the way maybe you are Japanese but we are Chinese. Don't forget how did they use their martial art when they invaded China.

The soul of Alpine skiing,
Given that Alpine skiing is a sport that no more than “trading potential energy for kinetic energy” and powered by gravity, the soul of Alpine skiing is “gravity.”
The dreaded straight lining, nothing to it, if one has “no fear,” and has the skills.

The art of Alpine skiing: finding the soul,
“Gravity,” as essence, cannot be seen, what can be seen is only its “traces,” such as mountains, valleys, gullies, or flats, etc., the visible clues. Alpine skiing is to travel through those terrains on skis. Unlike travelling on foot or running, alpine skiing is operated on a much less frictions world, and is powered by gravity, so our common forms of locomotions don't work as hard to balance, so the skiing takes on a totally different form of motion—slide—which is "less the movements the better." For gravity, physicists may have given pretty much all the answers except one, the ultimate secret/mystery of the universe, “What is gravity”? Physicists may almost be able to predict/calculate the exactly strengths of gravity at any given point in the universe, but they cannot tell you what “gravity” is. And their calculations, though understanding them may help, but have no use for you skiers in flight if you cannot “feel”“what” is 1G or 2G. Then, how we are going to find a substance that is invisible and fluid? Simple, “be oneness with gravity.”Gravity cannot be seen, but water betrays its existence and strengths, so ski like water flows, Taichi Skiing balances with gravity and strives, and in the harmony/one with gravity, Taichi Skiing reflects the “reality” of the gravity. To paraphrase the “soul of the martial arts,”
“The gravity is the soul.
Study the soul is to know the skiing.
Evil mind, evil skiing.”
Comparing that you don't even dare to show up? You whistler group is a joke. In a difficult condition, having fears is only human nature, question is can you overcome it? Pumping your chest won't do it. If you even have fears by following you CSIA L4 carving, you have no idea what “no fear” means.

As you said, Gravity is the soul . On such gentle slope going straight down and there is a very flat area to slow one down. What's the challenge. Only idiot will use this to prove he's fearless.
You are fearless on a gentle groom run, that's true. Just like one claim one is fearless driving 20miles/hr on a winding uphill road. Almost everybody got a license can do it. Going straight like that even Lelo claim he can do it.
If you stand there for a minute and cannot even slide a foot downhill, don't said you are fearless. You've already proved very clearly what fear means
