The long awaited meeting between PKU and taichiskiing has come and gone; time passes, funny that.

The meeting/skiing went well; if there’re errors would be all mine. I brought two cameras to record the event, to ensure we have some footages, the “back-up” camera malfunctioned, funny that. I got six clips but one clip, Olympicdownhill, didn’t come out (“one-button” operation error), my fault, I apologize, (I hate it when a good run didn’t get recorded like this). Here are the rest of them:

I think I tripped on my edges or something at the end of bump run and lost my track and recovered below PKU.

Don’t know what happened on this run, but the kid at 0:43 prevented me to rejoin PKU’s track, so I skied ahead, I thought PKU were following me behind, right?

Pku的習慣是每滑一段會停下來看看你有沒有跟上，或失去你，加上他對那雪場不熟，要是不幸失去你，要再碰上就很難了。

所以第二段，他停下來看你，你就衝過去了，然後他跟在你後面滑，這代表你們在那條道上速度是差不多一樣快的。

另外，所有都是很好的記錄影片。很高興你們有個愉快的滑雪假期。

Gunbarrel is not an “extreme” terrain, but its consistent steepness (~40 degree) and long vertical (~1800') make it particular “physical” challenge to most skiers. You have a good form and good speed, are a good bumper, congrats. The majority of the skiers who ski gunbarrel ski like the other guy, not as skillful as you, but they do take prides when they can ski down gunbarrel, particularly nonstop, and that’s why “Gunbarrel 25.”

Gunbarrel is not an “extreme” terrain, but its consistent steepness (~40 degree) and long vertical (~1800') make it particular “physical” challenge to most skiers. You have a good form and good speed, are a good bumper, congrats. 我認為這就是為什麼你老是覺得你行，別人都不行的原因，你在那麼整年在同一個雪場滑那麼多天，我覺得就是倒背如流也不為過，但是你不了解，技術真正的提升，會使得下困難的地形更順暢更容易，而不是只單單靠天數堆疊出來的。

坦白講，我看過北美大多的滑雪技術的方法，都是以伸展釋壓為主(你可能不能真正明白我這個說法)，這方法初學會比較輕鬆，但要步入高級卻是極難，所以幾乎大多都卡在中級就上不去了，但我也不是說用伸展釋壓就會下不好饅頭，而是效率沒有收縮釋壓那麼好，但已經能應付絕大多數的狀況，也讓人容易有安心感，然後就容易陷在這裏走不上去了。

日本的饅頭是很極端的，用伸展釋壓去滑日本饅頭，肯定是滑得更不好的，尤其遇到大的饅頭，連轉板打滑的機會都沒有，沒你想像中那麼容易的，我看了你在饅頭上跟拍PKU，這倒是我第一次看到你在饅頭拼了命的跟衝了，PKU要是沒停下來等你，他很快就消失在你的鏡頭前了，這速度我可以肯定，你下饅頭的速度跟我差不多，我再多練幾天應該可以比你快一點，不過我對不熟的環境及地形，我的速度依然慢，這是很正常的。

雖然我沒實際去滑過Gunbarrel，但溝看起來就很寛，依我過去在加拿大及歐洲滑過的饅頭印象，我下的速度應該可以比在日本再快一些，這點要聽聽看PKU對這一條道跟日本的雙黑比，除了長度外，還有什麼不同的差別，就如之前提到的，北美的饅頭是被掃出來的，所以饅頭是凸上來的，日本的饅頭是被刻出來的，所以饅頭是凹下去的，這兩個難度根本不同層次。

簡單的講，有機會有錢的話，去日本白馬見識一下，或是去歐洲的奧地利LECH見識都行，真的超乎你想像的。

依我個人見解，你挑的路線比較困難，後面那個頭戴攝影機的朋友挑的路線比較簡單，他都儘量挑較平整凹凸不會那麼大的饅頭頂滑。

這個影片看起來真有趣，感覺你們好像在往山上滑喔。

對呀，就是這規則讓我腦筋一時反應不過來。

我各截出一段片，你看看，在TOP時，你的雪杖太早落杖點到雪面，我認為伸腿是在饅頭頂之後，而落杖就是伸腿的開始。在BOTTOM這段，因為太早伸腿，導致整個身體倒向山下太多，如果在包頂還能維持縮腿的姿勢，身體看起來會正很多。

My skiing still have lots of room to improve although I may not be able to keep improving since I am not talented.

Norman like studying skiing. Of course he can only be right sometimes.
