I likes many Japanese skier since their skiing is much stronger than the CSIA. On the other hand, their skiing is not for everybody, too much performance, too fast. CSIA is focus more on controlPSBoy 寫:I have the video too. The skiers are 柏木義之, 井山敬介, 丸山貴雄, 吉岡大輔.

Personally, I like 丸山貴雄 and 佐藤久哉 skiing. At the same time, I like 渡辺一樹's demonstration and explanation.
PKU - Thanks for sharing. This guy skies better than the previous one. Yes, I agree that the previous one shows "...a lot of time, out of control."pku 寫:I have this video but I don't like the skiing here.
All of them are very very strong skier but the skiing in the video is too fast and a lot of time, out of control.
I like their skiing better from other video especially 柏木義之

My opinion is 吉岡大輔 is not very good on powder compare with the other guys and also吉岡大輔 still didn't win the title of Technical ski champion. The other 3 guys already got it.PSBoy 寫:Totally agree that control is the king for recreational skiing.
You may be right. However, to be fair, the strength of 吉岡大輔 is long turns. So, it may not be easily to demo in the video due to the terrains. Just for sharing
BTW, the new DVD, Transform, is worth to have a look. It emphasizes on his new skiing method (i.e. two-footed skiing) that is quite different from the DVD, Evolution.
Their skiing on 4 ace cut the wind is too aggressive. A lot of times, they sking like GS turn on difficult snow ( they snow condition is not really dry powder ) like wind pack snow. Setting the feet ( base od support ) away from center of mass is very risky especially the speed they ski.snowrider 寫:PKU - Thanks for sharing. This guy skies better than the previous one. If it's too expensive, I may not fix it. I am going to see my dentist next week. Will seesnowrider 寫:Gosh ... sorry to hear your loss. That will be painful and expensive.
