Just read this thread,
http://www.epicski.com/forum/thread/905 ... ps-forward. Some discussions push me to rethink what I learnt before.
PS. One may ignore that thread if English as a second language.

Just came back after a long weekend
Well...my perception is that epicski advocates ILE but I am confused after studying BB's explanation, especially in the post #23.
In that post, I found that all the great skiers perform OLR. So, I am thinking whether I misinterpret their techniques.

I searched on the web and found this:

I think that its explanation makes sense.

I did not read the thread originally but I read some of it this morning. BB is a wise man.

Thanks for your info. Rick also provides an in-depth discussion about ILE and OLR in his DVD. We may have further discussion if you watched the DVD already.

Yeah, it is a long long thread. But very informative on the subject of "Where do we want our hips over our feet? Why do we want to move our hips forward? "
#128 of page 5 is a good and simple presentation. BB summarizes by saying," ...... Depending on the posture of the skier, the hips may never appear directly above, much less forward of, the feet!
http://www.epicski.com/forum/thread/905 ... orward/120
If one clicks on the diagram, there will be an animated movement of CM and feet.
Lelo, if you can understand just this post #128, it should shed some light for better understanding of "sitting back" or "hip forward"
