Coming home this weekend to find out my board has become very dirty. It is some kind of thick black substance. I hot scrap it several times but only little come off. I am going to get goo gone tomorrow. Any suggestion?

I had to send two pairs of skis to the shop for tuning while I was on the mountain this weekend for a different reason I thought. They also have black stuff on the base. I did not think about it at the time because I thought it was from something else I was doing.

How about the liquid wax remover

It is not wax. It is some dirty substance from the resort. I tried base cleaner which will remove wax but it has no effect. I think many people who visit the same resort are going to have the same problem I have.

Is that paint, stain, or oil?

The only way I know for removing dirty stuff is scraping off the hot wax while it is still hot.

I don't know what it is. I already hot wax scrap several times.
