It's because Taichi doesn't know beg is a mirror. I ski with beg 1 today. I may be able to raise $1000 through fund-raising, but not sure if I want to go through that kind of trouble, nevertheless, if you want to prove yourself that carving is faster than flatboarding, I race you, any time.

:taichiskiing 寫: Really? How many "teaching hours" you have worked? Driving from Vancouver to Whistler to work everyday, or just part-time weekenders? How much money you have made in teaching skiing and how much money you have spent to make those money? You may think that you have a prestige "ski instructor" job/title, but to ski resorts, you low ranking ski instructors are only cheap labors.

On easy runs, it maybe a toss up. On difficult runs, that will be another story because he has to spend a lot of time TRAVERSE. A story to tell you how easy Heavenly is. Some of my friends went to Heavenly, the comment they made at 4 PM is "I am not tired at all". haha, Same people can only ski with us in other places for maybe 2 hours. By noon, they usually have to bail. We won't even that fast, and we always waited for others to catch up but we were on non-groomed run that are considered difficult often.pku 寫:As I said before, only few of us can beat Taichiskiing in speed.
As Snowrider said, Taichisking is a master in balance. Although the tecnique he skied is not consider high end skiing but in order to win in the pk event, it doen't matter what technique you use and at the end, one can come down faster on skis is the winner.
To be able to master the high end technique and come down fast is not easy while use lower end techniqe and come down in a reaonable speed is much easier. If taichicskiing come to whistler, he loses his home court advantage but still we can't underestimate him. If the pk event is on Heavenly, his winning chances wil be much much higher.
To be able to pass an instructor level is a different story, one need to be able to show the required technique on one's skiing of that system . There is no way for taichiskiing to pass the instructor level if he skis like the way he used to ski. He already created his own system of his owe so we also couldn't pass his requirement.
Recently, I found a place which is quite cheap to ski and it's nice. Silver Star, there got some steeper runs at the back side mountain and the resort is around 30 minutes drive from the town " Vernon " The hotel at the town is only $60.00, the rooms are roomy and the ski pass is around $55.000 if purchase from Costco .
