He is in a period of break thru around this time. About the pop, please see my post.snowrider 寫:http://www.goski.com.tw/forum/showpost. ... stcount=32

To me, too much counter balance is not really a problem. Even it is, it is much easier to fix than to have not enough. What do you think?pku 寫:He should face the direction of travel. My eyes are not so good so can't really comment too detail.
This is PMTS style skiing so there is some difference. There are several coaches present including HH and his wife when this video was taken.pku 寫: He should face the direction of travel. My eyes are not so good so can't really comment too detail.
I think you are right on, PMTS or not, especially about the turn shape. He was practicing to get bigger age angle and this is the biggest he had gotten at that time. I guess you read my description about phantom move, it is always the default way to ski in PMTS. It is not a symmetric movement, e.g edge change is not simultaneous, whether others can see it or not will depend on the skill of the person performing.B2L2 寫:Obvious to me that he built up a lot of pressure on the ski tail which later on pop and caught him unexpected. He wasn't rounding up his turn for speed controller and his speed kept increasing down the run.
For me, he seems to be on his back seat most of the time. What causing that, I think when he cross the ski, he cross it from side to side with not enough forward movement down the hill. He can't load the ski tip and always loading the ski tail instead.
What's the PMTS expert said? Is he practicing the (super) phantom move at that time?
If it's a problem or not a problem , it all depend . For me , this kind of alignment thing on carving long radius turn is not easy for me to fix .skier888 寫:To me, too much counter balance is not really a problem. Even it is, it is much easier to fix than to have not enough. What do you think?

What I mean is that it is the better of the two. It is easier to tone it down. Most people unable to have enough. This is if you are talking about PMTS "counter balance"pku 寫:If it's a problem or not a problem , it all depend . If you compare his with the picture by Barnes or even with hh there is some difference
skier888 - You can see his problem right from this snapshot:skier888 寫: ... About the back seat, sure, but that is not a static position. He is not back seat all the time. The situation he is in also caused it to be worst than it should be

I did acknowledge that the back seat problem. I am just saying he is not in the same back position all the time. I see that he is already at or beyond his limit before this frame. He will not be in this position if he rounded up the turn prior to this like B2L2 point out.snowrider 寫:skier888 - You can see his problem right from this snapshot:
His backseat problem was actually caused by his weak inner upper body. His inner upper body sank.
This is a good PMTS demo so that we see why people skiing certain way

There is a reason why I call it "demo". I think the pop up you are talking about is cause by the rebound (is why I post it here.) that he tried to recover from.snowrider 寫:你看這個 demo 就明顯地 smooth transition 而沒有那個紅衣男的 pop up.
