把各等級的名稱列出來一下,這跟一般的分級不太一樣吧?

1. the controlled skier
2. the parallel skier
3. the mobile skier
4. the dynamic skier
5. the refined skier
6. the versatile skier
7. ski racer

因為我還是還沒練出 parallel 的第四級,按照這個等級,我應該只算 the controlled skier 的第一級而已 .....

What is CSCF stand for,怎麼都是小孩在示範?我想他們滑是Rail Road Track (RRT) turn, which is a waterdown version of pure-carve technique,不錯,但是turn-skiing總是有點單調。

My leader got the Level 1 ( entry Level )CSCF Coach 10 years ago but he knows nothing about racing. He only know how to carve a little bit but he is too scare about carving on steep groom run. He think carving is more for racing, not too much use for all mountain skiing for recreation skier.

Your leader sounds like a solid skier. I carve too, just I don't like the "jerky" feeling of the "tipping," so most of times I do flatboarding,

Our leader skiing is OK but still not really impressive, still far from the following guy. I hope one day I can ski as fast as him on the bumps.

He's a decent bump skier, nevertheless, nothing really special for bump skiing (his "line" spread too wide for his "poled skiing", which made his run a little unstable), why him? Do you know him, or you just lift a link out of the internet?

There was time, before the terrain park, I used to ski nothing but moguls all day, but now I only do it occasionally,

You have very good balance but he skis faster.

The guy's bumps skiing is more carving so the line is not too straight.

Well, my skiing safety philosophy is to slow down on difficult conditions, balance first and to enjoy the speed only when conditions permit.

He may have used some edges on turning (dynamic short turns), but don't think that he has carved, especially on his demon on the open legs Christie turn, that's pretty bad [example] for a teaching demonstration. Given that zipper-line mogul technique is much more efficient and fast than the carving turn is on mogul, I don't think that carving is a good choice/technique for mogul skiing.

Will that have to do with age? I find that I can't take the same beating anymore. Injuries takes months, sometimes years to heal.

That's quite true; knees are the first thing to go when we grow older, and all the high end mogul skiing techniques require on good knees, that's why I don't do mogul much after the terrain park came out on the scene; superpipe has no less fun but much less stress on the knees,

You are right, he is not carving but he use quite a bit of edge to deflect the skis to turn,it's more of a canadian high end instructor skiing technique. The turn is more like an arc. Different from the freestyle mogul skiing which is more like a straight line. That's why the freestyle moguls is faster ( Straight down )

About the open christie turn is just he is not doing the parellel turn perfectly ( so non parallel leg movement show like a christie ). But it's pretty good for aggressive skiing on bumps for Canadian instructor. His skiing is at less a CSIA strong level 3 or a Level 4 instrucotr. That's what I think.

His parallel turns are fine, I just don't understand why he introduced the open Christie turn in turning on moguls. He maybe a CSIA level 3... but his mogul run was too unstable for a level 4.

He show the chrsite because he doesn't have the speed to set the skis on edge a bit away from the body.

Some level 4 may be more stable but they don't have much speed like him. The bump run he skied was quite steep. CSIA 4 is not very strong skiing, they are stable but not too fast. All level 4 passed the CSCF level2 before they go to take the Exam of CSIA Level 4

The following guy pass the level 4 last season, he was not very stable the first few turns
